Travelling with pets from non-EU countries

MOVEMENT OF DOGS, CATS AND FERRETS

The animal which is entered into the EU territory must have:

The identification document of the animal is the EU PASSPORT properly and completely filled before leaving the EU territory or the HEALTH CERTIFICATE issued by an official veterinarian or by an authorized veterinarian and endorsed by the competent authority of third country.

 

*NOTE: For imports of dogs and cats from MALAYSIA and cats from AUSTRALIA, the COMMISSION DECISION of 21 February 2006 on certain protection measures with regard to certain fruit bats, dogs and cats coming from Malaysia (Peninsula) and Australia is additionally applicable. The animals must comply with the additional requirements set out in the aforementioned act.
